SCM Continues Expansion in U.S. with the Addition of the

Ouellette & Associates, Team to Nixon & Company, Inc.


Indianapolis, IN – SCM Insurance Services, today announced that Indianapolis-based Ouellette & Associates team members will join Nixon & Company.

Ouellette & Associates is an independent insurance claims firm with offices located in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, South Bend, and Vincennes. They handle property and casualty claims for clients throughout the state of Indiana and the bordering counties of Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio.

SCM, the largest insurance service provider in Canada, first entered the U.S. market in May of 2017 with the acquisition of Nixon & Company, Inc. A full service, multi-line adjusting organization that has been in business for more than 40 years and is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. The organization provides clients throughout the Midwest with market leading offerings in third party administration and innovative adjusting solutions.

Matt attended the Eastern Regional PLRB in Richmond VA 11-14 to 11-16. He represented Ouellette & Associates, as well as the NAIIA, in a group marketing effort to show Unity & Strength within the NAIIA.

We all individually own our own IA firms covering respectively from Missouri through Georgia and through the North Eastern States, but collectively the NAIIA covers the entire United States with member firms in all 50 States.

The PLRB Conference concentrated on educational meetings – not only for Property claims but also Liability claims, focusing on proper handling. They also offer classes on despute resolution and customer service.

Our firms, and the NAIIA, pride ourselves on prompt and courteous customer service – providing our clients with clear reports on the claims exposures.

We enjoyed an evening out with several client companies over dinner – exchanging claim handling philosophy and expectations of our clients. It was a great few days!

NAIIA Mid-Year Meeting at Westin on Jekyll Island GA

The Executive Committee met at the Westin Resort on Jekyll Island, GA, where we will also hold our 79th annual meeting June 12th through June 18th, 2016. Scheduled events will include Continued Education, an RPA meeting, as well as an IILA meeting.

Discussion during the Executive Committee meeting were the opening of the NAIIA Call Center within 30 days; Mentoring of new Member firms; as well as participation of the NAC (National Advisory Council comprised of Claim Managers, and VP of Claims departments from 8 Insurance Companies).
